Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Solitary Step website and application (collectively, the "Service") operated by Solitary Step ("we," "us," or "our").

Service Description

Solitary Step is a private sobriety companion application designed for individuals seeking a personal path to sobriety. The Service aims to provide tools and resources that support your journey while maintaining privacy as a core value. Unlike many alternatives, Solitary Step focuses on individual empowerment without relying on social features or public sharing.

Eligibility

The Service is designed as a supportive resource for individuals seeking a private path to sobriety. It is not a medical service, treatment program, or substitute for professional care. If you are under 18, we recommend discussing your use of this Service with a parent, guardian, or healthcare provider. By using the Service, you confirm that your use does not violate any applicable laws or regulations in your location.

Medical Disclaimer

Solitary Step is not a medical service or treatment program. The Service is not suitable for:

  • Anyone experiencing alcohol withdrawal or symptoms of alcohol withdrawal

  • Those requiring medical intervention

  • Anyone in immediate crisis

The Service is designed as a complementary tool for those seeking sobriety and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition and prior to starting or increasing any physical activity, even activities that may seem low-impact such as walking.
